“We've waited eight years to make sure, but this is the perfect time to bring Murderdolls back to the world. We've got nothing to lose and nothing to prove. So raise your fist along with us mother fuckers, and sorry if you get a bloody nose along the way. It's about to get ugly! Women and children last!"

JOEY JORDISON: PAUL GRAY 'Would Always Want Us To Make Another Record'

Drummer Joey Jordison, who's out with ROB ZOMBIE on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, told The Pulse of Radio that there have actually been talks about SLIPKNOT's future following the death this past May of bassist Paul Gray. "Shawn (Crahan) just came out, the 'Clown,' he just came out to the Mayhem festival, and we sat down and we talked and we're starting to map out the game plan right now," he said. "So there is another SLIPKNOT record already kinda in the making. You know, we're getting timelines set and, you know, it's gonna be a little bit but there's definitely another record. Paul would always want us to make another record. He wouldn't want the band to stop — SLIPKNOT was his life."

Jordison will continue his gig as Zombie's touring drummer into the fall, while also promoting a new record from his band MURDERDOLLS.

Meanwhile, SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor — out on the road now with his other band, STONE SOUR — has been saying in recent interviews that it's "too soon" for SLIPKNOT to decide its next steps. Taylor told England's NME TV, "As far the future . . . it's really soon to tell. None of us can even fathom what to do yet. But as soon as we do, the world will be the first to know. It's not that we don't want to, it's just like, how do you do what makes sense when such a big piece of that puzzle is gone?"

Taylor added that Gray "was the spirit of SLIPKNOT. He wrote most of the music. Not a lot of people know that, so I've really been trying to get the word out about him and give him the recognition that he deserves."

The singer also said that he and his wife "have been taking care of" Gray's family. The late bass player's wife is expecting their first child next month.

The new STONE SOUR album, "Audio Secrecy", arrives on September 7. That band also features SLIPKNOT guitarist Jim Root.

Paul Gray's body was found on May 24 in a hotel room in a Des Moines, Iowa suburb. A coroner ruled that the 38-year-old musician died of an accidental overdose of morphine.

MURDERDOLLS: More 'Halloween Hootenanny Tour' Dates

As BLABBERMOUTH.NET first reported on July 21, ROB ZOMBIE, ALICE COOPER and MURDERDOLLS will join forces for the "Halloween Hootenanny Tour" this fall.

So far the following dates have been announced:

Sep. 30 - Los Angeles, CA - Gibson Amphitheatre
Oct. 01 - San Diego, CA - Harrah's Rincon
Oct. 02 - Tuscon, AZ - Anselmo Valencia Amphitheater

The CD/DVD edition of Zombie's latest album, "Hellbilly Deluxe 2", will arrive in stores on September 28 via Roadrunner Records. The expanded version of the album will feature three brand new tracks recorded with the band's current touring lineup, including SLIPKNOT drummer/MURDERDOLLS guitarist Joey Jordison, along with a reworked version of the song "The Man Who Laughs". A bonus DVD featuring live footage and a 30-minute touring documentary, dubbed "Transylvanian Transmissions", will also be included.

Dennis Dunaway, the original bass player of the Alice Cooper group, announced during an interview on WJCU's "Metal On Metal" radio program with host Bill Peters that he and fellow original Alice Cooper group member Neal Smith (drums) are going to be working with Alice on material for the legendary rocker's new studio album, the sequel to "Welcome To My Nightmare".

During the June 19 press conference at the Hellfest in Clisson, France, Cooper stated about his plans for the upcoming record, "I'm very happy with working with [producer] Bob [Ezrin] again. It's 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare', and it's the next nightmare. Thirty years later, he has another nightmare, and this one is even worse than the last one.

"I [hadn't] worked with Bob in a long time. After the 35th anniversary of 'Nightmare', I said, 'Why don't we start writing something else?' And he said, 'Why don't we just do part two?' We'd never done part two, so I went, 'That's a great idea. Let's get me and you together, I think we can still get Steven Hunter and Dick Wagner. We'll put some of the original people on it and add some new people."

When asked what the next album will sound like and if the goal to simply "revisit the past," Cooper said, "I didn't think that we could recreate the sound, but the first three things we did are identical to that era. In fact, we purposely added a few '70s things to it to give it that '70s sound. Without even trying, it sounded just like 'Nightmare'. If we can keep that going, it will really be something. It captures an era."

MURDERDOLLS' new video, "My Dark Place Alone", was filmed with director Paul R. Brown, who has previously worked with SLIPKNOT, MÖTLEY CRÜE, KORN, GODSMACK and AVENGED SEVENFOLD, among others. The song comes off the band's sophomore album, "Women And Children Last", which will be released on August 31 via Roadrunner Records. The CD was recorded at a studio in Hollywood Hills, California with producer Chris "Zeuss" Harris (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD).
