WEDNESDAY 13: 'Calling All Corpses' First-Week Sales Revealed

"Calling All Corpses", the new solo album from MURDERDOLLS frontman Wednesday 13, sold around 1,300 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at No. 21 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"Calling All Corpses" was released on October 11. The artwork for the CD was created by D.A. Frizell, who has worked on SEVENDUST's "Cold Day Memory" as well as AVENGED SEVENFOLD's "Nightmare", "Book Of Nightmare" and "Diamonds In The Rough/ Live In The LBC" and the AVENGED video "A Little Piece Of Heaven".

"Calling All Corpses" was mastered by Tom Baker at Precision Mastering who has previously worked with NINE INCH NAILS, ROB ZOMBIE, MARILYN MANSON and MINISTRY, among others.

Murderdolls may have emerged with a campy, anti-everything agenda in 2002, but now the guys are dropping the camp and upping the angst with their sophomore album Women and Children Last. And a further testament to their maturation is their new, infectiously catchy track "Nowhere" -- which marks the band's latest video. Murderdolls: Remaining Japanese Shows Cancelled

Murderdolls � the band consisting of Joey Jordison (Slipknot) and Wednesday 13 � has issued the following update:

“We are disappointed to say that we were forced to cancel our remaining Japanese shows. We stayed in Tokyo while other bands fled, planning to put on a great show and give you guys the good time you need right now. In the end, the promoters decided that all shows for the next few days would need to be canceled, including ours. We love playing in Japan and hope we get the chance to make it up to the people who missed out. Our hearts go out to the good people of Japan and their families that have been affected by this terrible tragedy. You can help by donating $10 to the Red Cross efforts in Japan by texting REDCROSS to 90999.”
